Some goods including a breifcase belonging to Dr Bhaktaman Shrestha, executive director of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur has been found in Mugling, police said. Dr Shrestha is missing since Tuesday night. His car was found in Pokhara Wednesday evening. The briefcase marked BM Shrestha was recovered from the house of Ek Bahadur Thapa located in Darechok VDC along the Narayangadh - Mugling road, Saturday morning. Thapa told the police, he and his friends found the briefcase and the goods at about 4 pm, Wednesday at a nearby jungle when they had gone to collect firewood. Police got the information about the goods only Saturday. Nothing more is known about the whereabouts of the missing doctor yet. Whether Thapa was involved in the incident in any way is also not known. An unidentified group has shot at a Birgunj based businessman Gopal Kedia, Wednesday night. Kedia, who  is also the general secretary of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries, was shot at when he was sitting at his drapery in front of Mahavir temple at about 8 pm. He recieved bullet on his neck. Doctors said, he is out of danger. He is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Joint Terai Liberation Front has owned up the shooting.

Police have arrested one Rajesh Hamal and his girlfried Pratikshya Shah for trying to extort Rs 10 million from former Princess Prerana Singh by sending a mobile text message on Tuesday.

Father of Maina Sunar, the girl who was murdered by army after taking her in custody five years ago, was found dead near Banepa, Kantipur daily reported quoting police sources.
