Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range has launched a special security plan to curb crime in capital Kathmandu during the Dashain and Tihar festivals.

The fifteen-day Bada Dashain festival, the greatest festival of Nepali Hindus, has begun today. Today is Ghatasthapana when people worship in various temples and sow maize and barley in such temples or inside the house to make 'jamara' that will be used on the tenth day of the festival.
