Two persons have been killed when a truck hit the motorcycle they were traveling on in Rupandehi, Sunday afternoon. One of the deceased is Mohit KC and the other deceased has not been identified. 

Unified CPN (Maoist) politburo member and in charge of international department Krishna Bahadur Mahara is likely to become the next Prime Minister of Nepal, this scribe has learnt. Mahara has been put forward as a candidate for the next PM after consensus could not be forged in the names of incumbent PM Madhav Kumar Nepal, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and vice chairman Babu Ram Bhattarai. Talks on a suitable alternative was on after the mentioned candidates had one or the other problem to become the PM. Maoists have a problem with PM Nepal continuing in the position. For chairman Dahal, there is no support from anywhere else other than his party. Nepal's influential southern neighbour does not want Dahal to become the PM. Their sentiments is being implemented in Nepal by ruling parties Nepali Congress and the KP OLi/Madhav Nepal faction of the UML.
