One person has been beaten to death in Okharbot VDC of Myagdi after a dispute between two groups of youths, Thursday. Narayan Chhantyal, resident of Taman VDC of the same district was beaten to death by youths of Okharbot VDC after a sports tournament in the VDC. Police in Myagdi have informed Hasta Pun, Lal Man Gharti, Bhim Gharti and Bishesh Pun were involved in the beating. A police team has been deployed from Area Police Office, Darbang to Okharbot for investigation.

Two persons have been killed and about half dozen others injured when a bus carrying pilgrims from Swargadwari temple of Pyuthan met with an accident, Thursday evening. The deceased are identified as Nani KC, 60, and Krishna Basnet, 58, both residents of Dhobighat, Kathmandu. Four of the injured are in critical condition. They have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. The injured are Kriti Jung Dhwaj Karki, Chandra Kumar Karki, Sabita Basnet and Rupa Bhattarai.

Eleven houses have been gutted by fire in Saptari, last night. The fire started about 11 pm, Thursday and was taken in control at about 3 am, Friday. Four animals have perished and property worth about Rs 1.5 million has been destroyed by the fire.
