Van hits two-year-old

A two-year-old child has died when van numbered Ko 1 Cha 3609 knocked him down in Lahan, Thursday morning. Nitesh Kumar Yadav, son of Ganesh Yadav, was knocked down in Hospital Chok of Siraha district headquarter, Lahan. Police have taken into custody Van driver Ganga Prasad Yadav and initiated action against him.

Businessman stabbed to death in Udaypur

An unidentified individual or group has murdered a businessman in Udaypur by stabbing him, last night. Kaluram Chaudhary, 50 of Triyuga-10, Udayapur was stabbed to death last night. The reason for his murder is not known.

Policeman killed in misfire

A Head Constable of Armed Police Force (APF) has been killed when a gun carried by his colleague misfired, this morning. The gun triggered when Police Constable Dal Singh Rokaya was cleaning its barrel. Head Constable Roshan Rai died on the spot after he recieved the bullet.

One shot dead in Rolpa

One Kul Bahadur Buda has shot dead Sant Bahadur Chand in Iribang-5 of Rolpa, last night. Chand died on the spot after recieving the bullet. Buda has been absconding. Police have arrested three persons in connection with the incident.

Price of Kerosene, diesel hiked

Nepal Oil Corporation has hiked the prices of kerosene and deisel by Re.1 per litre each effective Thursday. With the price revision, the price of deisel and kerosene have reached Rs 57 per litre in Terai districts and Rs 59 per litre in hilly and mountainous districts. A board meeting of NOC held Wednesday evening decided to hike the prices to mitigate its losses. NOC has claimed the shortage of deisel seen in the market will end with the price hike.
