Missing doctor's car found; no clue about the person

The car numbered Ba 3 Cha 989 being used by Bhakta Man Shrestha, executive director of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital,  Bharatpur, has been found at Kudahar of Pokhara, police said. However, there is no clue about the missing doctor yet. Latest update: Missing doc's briefcase found in Mugling

Birgunj businessman Gopal Kedia shot at

An unidentified group has shot at a Birgunj based businessman Gopal Kedia, Wednesday night. Kedia, who  is also the general secretary of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries, was shot at when he was sitting at his drapery in front of Mahavir temple at about 8 pm. He recieved bullet on his neck. Doctors said, he is out of danger. He is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Joint Terai Liberation Front has owned up the shooting.

Maoist chairman Dahal reaches Dhulikhel resort in search of solitude

Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has gone to a posh resort in Dhulikhel reportedly seeking solitude to chart out agenda and report for the upcoming central committee meeting of the party. Prachanda is accompanied by his son Paras Dahal and his party's Tamsaling state committee's in charge Agni Sapkota. Dahal entered the resort without giving any comments to journalists who had reached the resort after learning of his  arrival. Dahal has a fetish of spending time in posh resorts and hotels at quite places whenever he is intense pressure.

NC turns down Maoist proposal to form separate force comprising of Maoist combatants

Nepali Congress (NC) has turned down the Unified CPN (Maoist) proposal to form a separate security force comprising of some personnels from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and the Maoists' People's Liberation Army. A meeting of the NC central officials at acting president Sushil Koirala's residence in Maharajgunj Wednesday decided such proposal would not be acceptable to the party. UCPN (Maoist) had put such proposal before NC leaders at a meeting yesterday. The three parties have not been able to forge a consensus due to differences in the number of combatants to be  integrated in the army.

Press advisor rules out presidential rule in Nepal

President Ram Baran Yadav's press advisor Rajendra Dahal has ruled out the possibility of a presidential rule in Nepal, Wednesday. Addressing an interaction titled 'Posibble Political Crisi, Solution and Media' organised by Tribhuvan Nagar Jaycees in Ghorahi of Dang Dahal said, presidential rule will not be imposed as the president does not have executive authority as per the interim constitution. Saying  the present crisis was a result of the conflict among the parties, Dahal said, there was no option to a consensus among the parties. He also accused the three largest parties in the parliament of making the parliament and the country a prisoner of their feuds.

Kin vandalise hospital after patients death

Kin of a patient who died at Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara last night, have vandalised the hospital Wednesday accusing doctors of being careless in the patients treatment. One Prem Bahadur GC, 22, of Kajipokhari, Pokhara was brought to the hospital when he got seriously injured after falling into a ditch, yesterday. He died while undergoing treatment due to the leakage of oxygen cylinder from which he was inhaling.

Executive Director of Bharatpur Cancer Hospital Dr Bhakta Man Shrestha has been allegedly abducted by an unknown group, Tuesday evening. His family said, he has gone missing since last night. He has remained out of contact after he returned from office Tuesday. His car is also missing along with him.
