Bharatpur Cancer Hospital Exe-Director Bhakta Man Shrestha abducted

Executive Director of Bharatpur Cancer Hospital Dr Bhakta Man Shrestha has been allegedly abducted by an unknown group, Tuesday evening. His family said, he has gone missing since last night. He has remained out of contact after he returned from office Tuesday. His car is also missing along with him.



The family tried calling him on his mobile, but no one answered till 12 midnight. After that, the mobile was switched off. Chitwan's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabi Raj Khadka said, an unidentified group could have abducted Shrestha. A meeting of the district security committee was held this morning on the issue. 

Meanwhile, president of BP Koirala Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur, condemned the incident saying no action had been taken for so long and that the Hospital would close all but emergency services today in protest.

Police ask for Red Light area in Kathmandu

Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu has recommended to the government to work out the necessary regulations and stipulate a Red Light Area in Kathmandu to curb sex related crimes.  Speaking at a press conference called to inform journalists of the the campaign Kathmandu police is launching to control sex related crime and illegal sexual activities in Kathmandu, Kathmandu police chief SP Ramesh Kharel said, illegal sexual activities and sex related crime would reduce a lot if a commercial sex was defined by some regulations and designated at some specific places.  Kharel also said, Kathmandu police had intensified operation against illegal sexual activities. It has keep some areas like Thamel, Sorhakhutte, Naya Buspark and Gongabu as hot areas and started keeping vigil in suspicious places.  Commercial sex is being operated in Kathmandu in the veil of massage parlours, dance and cabin restaurents, hotels and guest house and by taking an independent flat.
