Former Crown Prince Paras Shah has spoken to media in Bara, Nepal breaking a long silence. Shah presented himself before the journalists and answered candidly the questions posed by the journalists. Answering a question on monarchy Paras Shah said, although I personally don't want to become a King, monarchy can revive if people want.

Even as a year old Public Interest Litigation is still sub judice, Nepal Army has announced vacancy for 271 persons for 40 positions in technical feild. This marks the beginning of the recruitment process of NA for this year.

The newly appointed US ambassador to Nepal Scott H DeLisi has arrived in Kathmandu last week. He was nominated as Nepal envoy in November 2009 and approved by the US Senate in March 2010. There was no US ambassador to Nepal for almost eight months after erstwhile ambassador Nancy J Powell moved to Washington.

Nepal Law Commission has started to put all acts, laws, bylaws and regulations of Nepal online. The Commission has uploaded important Nepal Acts including the Interim Constitution 2063, the civil code amongst others with their translations on its website http://www.lawcommission.gov.np/ in downloadable form. The commission plans to put the remaining acts and bylaws with translations online soon. It is also planning to put drafts of treaties on the website.

A meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) called for today, that was expected to consult with leaders of the six major political parties on the number of Maoist combatants to be integrated and the relief package for combatants voluntarily pulling out of the integration has been postponed citing busy schedule of the political parties.

The parliamentary party of the ruling CPN (UML) has recommended to the government to withdraw the contract Party leader Ishwar Pokhrel, who was present at the meeting told reporters after the meeting, 'the parliamentary party has taken an important decision on MRP contract today. As the MRP deal was seen against international practice and also against the Public Procurement Act' we have urged the governmetn to withdraw the deal. UML lawmakers had protested heavily about the, MRP saying the decision had tarnished the image of their party itself.

Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N) has claimed the three largest parties in the Constituent Assembly (CA) Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (UML) had forged a secret agreement to extend the CA's term by three months. Thapa told journalists about the secret understanding while talking to journalists in Hetauda Thursday. Thapa arrived in Hetauda to address a mass assembly day after tommorrow. "The three parties have already signed the understanding, but have not disclosed it," said Thapa. "Instead, they are touting the constitution will be ready by three months in front of the people. This is a betrayal to the people.
