UML parliamentary party urges govt to withdraw MRP deal

The parliamentary party of the ruling CPN (UML) has recommended to the government to withdraw the contract


Party leader Ishwar Pokhrel, who was present at the meeting told reporters after the meeting, 'the parliamentary party has taken an important decision on MRP contract today.

As the MRP deal was seen against international practice and also against the Public Procurement Act' we have urged the governmetn to withdraw the deal.

UML lawmakers had protested heavily about the, MRP saying the decision had tarnished the image of their party itself.
