Nepali peacekeeper killed in Haiti accident
A Nepal Army soldier serving as an UN peacekeeper in Haiti has died in a road accident in Haiti Tuesday, reports say. Bhagawati Nyaupane, 26, serving in Haiti since October last year was hit by a truck when she was standing outside her base in a town north of the Haitian capital, according to an UN spokesperson. The driver fled after the accident. There are about 1,000 Nepali soldiers in Haiti.
