NC's turn to lead the govt: Koirala

Nepali Congress (NC) president Sushil Koirala has reiterated the claim for government leadership, Sunday.

 

Arguing that the UCPN (Maoist) and UML had already led the government Koirala said, it's now the turn of NC to lead the government.

 

Both the parties have already led the government, said Koirala speaking at a function in Bara Sunday, it's now NC's turn.

 

Koirala also clarified Ram Chandra Paudel would be forwarded as the prime ministerial candidate from the party.

 

According to our party statute, the leader of the parliamentary party becomes our prime ministerial candidate, said Koirala, we have not considered any alternatives.

Police ask for Red Light area in Kathmandu

Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu has recommended to the government to work out the necessary regulations and stipulate a Red Light Area in Kathmandu to curb sex related crimes.  Speaking at a press conference called to inform journalists of the the campaign Kathmandu police is launching to control sex related crime and illegal sexual activities in Kathmandu, Kathmandu police chief SP Ramesh Kharel said, illegal sexual activities and sex related crime would reduce a lot if a commercial sex was defined by some regulations and designated at some specific places.  Kharel also said, Kathmandu police had intensified operation against illegal sexual activities. It has keep some areas like Thamel, Sorhakhutte, Naya Buspark and Gongabu as hot areas and started keeping vigil in suspicious places.  Commercial sex is being operated in Kathmandu in the veil of massage parlours, dance and cabin restaurents, hotels and guest house and by taking an independent flat.
