After Saran, KV Rajan visits Kathmandu

Less than a week after senior Indian diplomat Shyam Saran visited
Nepal and held hectic parleys with all top leaders of the country,
another diplomat from South bloc has arrived in Kathmandu Wednesday.

Unlike Saran, KV Rajan, the Indian ambassador to Nepal from 1991 to
1995 made an unannounced landing at Tribhuwan International Airport
(TIA) at quarter to four, Wednesday afternoon.

Rajan is expected to meet senior politicians from major political
parties including Nepali Congress, Unified CPN (Maoist), UML and the
Madhes-based parties.

Rajan is staying at Hotel Radisson in Lazimpat. Although, not
announced in the media, analysts say, Rajan has come to Kathmandu with
New Delhi's message after his predecessor Saran reported the vibes of
Kathmandu leaders to his boss Man Mohan Singh after his visit last
week.

Rajan has arrived in Kathmandu even before the dust raised due to
Saran's visit has settled. Maoist leaders have been divided over the
reports of one-on-one meeting of their senior leaders with Saran.
