Manisha Koirala wants to marry a Nepali man

Bollywood Actress Manisha Koirala has revealed she is planning to get married soon, and that, too, with a Nepali boy in Nepal as she does not want to leave Nepal.

Speaking at a face-to-face programme organised by Reporters' Club Nepal in Kathmandu on Friday, actress Koirala said, 'Now, I will marry soon and that marriage will be in Nepal, because I don't want to leave Nepal.'

However, Koirala did not give any further hints about her marriage - if she had already chosen her partner or not. She does not have a known existing boyfriend in Nepal.

Five couples, 16 others arrested from Banepa while having sex

Police raided various Guest Houses in Banepa and arrested 26 persons while having sex or in sex-oriented positions, reports say. Five couples were arrested from Chandika, Chandeshwari, Valley and Welcome Guest House of Banepa while having sex. Likewise, seven girls were arrested from Shiva Guest House, Dhaneshwar and three boys and six girls were arrested from Phoolbari Restaurent. The arrested are in the age group of 18 to 26. Police have said, they raided them after locals complained of sexual activities in public. However, it is illegal to arrest anyone having sex in mutual consent. Police in the recent weeks have been interfering in people's private life in the name of curbing indecent activities, too. Prostitution is illegal in Nepal. However, there were reports police even arrested mutual romantic partners from some hotels in Kathmandu recently. Likewise, in a worse case, few weeks ago, even married couples were arrested from some hotels in Pokhara.

Foreign ministry urges public to make passports

Suman Joshi, Kathmandu Feb 23   The foreign ministry has urged everyone planning to visit a foreign country in near future to take a passport before March 31.   The foreign ministry urged the public to take the passports as the hand-written passports being issued now cannot be issued after April 1 and will not be valid even if issued as per the provision of UN agency International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).   The public is advised to make the passports, as it is still unclear how long the foreign ministry will take before getting the Machine-Readable Passports.   Hand-written passports issued before March 31 will be valid till 2015, after which they should be replace by MRPs. The validity of passports by Nepal government is 10 years. The foreign ministry has said, it will waive the passport fees on pro rata basis at the time of replacing it with MRPs.   Nepal government currently has a stock of some half million passport books.
