GPK and JNK agree to include PM in high level mechanism

Nepali Congress (NC) president Girija Prasad Koirala and CPN (UML) chairman
Jhala Nath Khanal have agreed to include Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal in the High Level Political Mechanism (HLPM).

Koirala and Khanal agreed to include PM Nepal in the mechanism at a meeting held at Koirala's residence, Maharajgunj, Wednesday morning.

Koirala is the coordinator of the mechanism, while UML chairman Khanal and Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal are its members.

Maoist chairman Dahal had ruled out the PM's inclusion in the the mechanism, on Tuesday.

"Why include the person who is the main cause of the political deadlock?", he had told journalists in Dhangadi yesterday.

Koirala and Khanal also discussed about the operating guidelines of the mechanism in today's meeting.

Next meeting of the mechanism will take place after Khanal returns from a visit to India. He is going to India today.

Police ask for Red Light area in Kathmandu

Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu has recommended to the government to work out the necessary regulations and stipulate a Red Light Area in Kathmandu to curb sex related crimes.  Speaking at a press conference called to inform journalists of the the campaign Kathmandu police is launching to control sex related crime and illegal sexual activities in Kathmandu, Kathmandu police chief SP Ramesh Kharel said, illegal sexual activities and sex related crime would reduce a lot if a commercial sex was defined by some regulations and designated at some specific places.  Kharel also said, Kathmandu police had intensified operation against illegal sexual activities. It has keep some areas like Thamel, Sorhakhutte, Naya Buspark and Gongabu as hot areas and started keeping vigil in suspicious places.  Commercial sex is being operated in Kathmandu in the veil of massage parlours, dance and cabin restaurents, hotels and guest house and by taking an independent flat.
