Nepal’s lake city tense after truck knocks down two youths on a motorcycle to death
Two persons have been killed when a truck hit a motorcycle they were traveling on at New Road in the beautiful lake city Pokhara, this morning.
Parvat Gurung and Pritam Gurung, residents of Birauta, Pokhara-7, died on the spot when the truck numbered Lu 1 Kha 5753 hit their motorcycle numbered Na 13 Pa 4285. Both Parvat and Pritam were students of Laxmi Residential Higher Secondary School.
Situation of the area has become tense after the accident. Students and locals have staged demonstrations and obstructed traffic in the area, following the accident. There has also been clashes between the demonstrators and police. Police have fired some tear gas cannisters to take the situation in control.
