UNMIN cheif Karen Landgren meets Maoist chairman Dahal

United Nations Mission in Nepal chief Karen Landgren has met with chairman of Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at the latter's residence Naya Bazaar, Sunday morning.



Landgren met with Dahal one day before his visit to New York. Landgren is leaving for New York, USA to brief the United Nations Security Council on the progress of peace process in Nepal.

At the meeting, Landgren asked Maoist chairman Dahal to help in discharging minors from cantonments and complete the peace process in a timely mannger.

UNMIN's term in ending in January. It has only three months before it can complete its assigned tasks of arms management and army integration.
















According to existing provisions, a subjudice case can be withdrawn only after the approval of the court hearing the case.
