Surya Bahadur Thapa returns from India

Former Prime Minister and chairperson of Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) has returned home from his week-long visit to New Delhi, India, Saturday.

Thapa met with high level leaders in India including Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, NDA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, opposition leader Lal Krishna Advani, former foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee, Indian defense advisor NK Narayanan, among others.

Talking to reporters at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon his arrival Thapa said, Indian leaders were for timely completion of peace and constitution drafting process in Nepal.

Indian establishment is not concerned about forming or toppling down a government in Nepal, Thapa said. Rather, it wants political stability in Nepal.
