Sujata Koirala appointed DPM
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has appointed Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala's daughter and foreign minister Sujata Koirala as the Deputy Prime Minister, Monday.

Koirala took oath of office and secrecy Monday evening at the President’s office, Shital Niwas.
PM Nepal was under pressure from NC president Koirala since a long time to appoint his daughter as the DPM.
However, most NC leaders are against promoting her to the post of DPM. They have said, Sujata’s appointment as DPM is not as per an official decision of the party.
Foreign minister Koirala had refused to accompany PM Nepal to his India trip for not appointing her as the DPM.
Koirala took oath of office and secrecy Monday evening at the President’s office, Shital Niwas. Daughter of Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala, Sujata is foreign minister and leader of NC team of the present cabinet.
