Prachanda leaves for China

Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has left for a week-long tour to China with party vice-chairman Mohan Baidhya, international department in-charge Krishna Bahadur Mahara and his son Prakash Dahal, Saturday morning.

Before leaving for China, he told journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport, he was visiting China for the welfare of the country and to strengthen the relation between Chinese Communist Party and his party.
In response to journalists’ query on the current political deadlock, Dahal said, a solution would be found by Kartik 3.

Prachanda and his team is returning on Kartik 2 and the Unified CPN (Maoist) is hosting a tea reception, similar to the ones hosted by Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) earlier this month, on Kartik 3.
According to Dahal, his party will improvise the document of consensus prepared by NC and UML and present it before other parties for approval.

Dahal’s China is a long-prepared event. Who Dahal will meet in China has not been disclosed. Dahal had met with some Chinese leaders during his Hong Kong visit a few weeks ago.
