Maoists issue ultimatum for a consensus
The agitating Unified CPN (Maoist) has issued an ultimatum to the government saying it would resume the stir if a consensus was not reached within October.
A meeting of the Maoist standing committee held at Paris danda, Koteshwar, this morning decided to adopt further flexibility for consensus, but resume the agitation if it takes too long or does not happen at all.
The Maoists have been agitating against the President's move to overrule erstwhile army chief's dismissal by the then government.
