Load shedding hours to increase by two hours

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has said the load shedding hours would be increased to 12 hours a week from the existing 10 hours a week, from Saturday.

The outage time has been increased as the demand for electricity is rising with the advent of winter. In addition, NEA will cut off power during unannouced hour, too, for the next four days due to the closure of Madhya Marshayangdi power house.

The 70 MW power house has been closed for maintenance. Load shedding will be regular at 12 hours a week after that.
