Discharge of unqualified Maoist combatants to start Sunday

Nepalese Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong has said the discharge of unqualified Maoist combatants will start Sunday from Dudhauli cantonment , Sindhupalchowk.

Speaking to journalists at function organised by Press Chautari, Dhankuta, minister Chemjong said, the discharged combatants will be kept in temporary camps before they are rehabilitated to the society. The government will take the responsibility of upkeeping them until they are rehabilitated, Chemjong said.

There are more than 4000 combatants disqualified by second UNMIN verification staying in various seven cantonments and 21 satellite camps.

Most of them were disqualified due to underage.
