NC lawmakers urge party leadership to withdraw from govt
Nepali Congress lawmakers have urged the party leadership to withdraw from governmnet saying Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and UML ministers had been running the state administration single-handedly like in a single-party government.
Speaking at a parliamentary party meeting on Friday, most NC lawmakers accused the MK Nepal-government of procrastinating important political appointments in government agencies under ministries led by NC leaders. The lawmakers also accused NC ministers of not consulting the party while taking important decisions and making political appointments.
The party should withdraw from government if the Prime Minsiter and UML ministers do not improve change their modus operandi, NC lawmakers said. The lawmakers complained particularly on health ministry and local development ministry saying the ministries had not set up a proper private secretariat to listen to grievances of party cadres.
