House panel grills Nepal Airlines officials
Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the legislature parliament has interrogated Nepal Airlines officials on the latters' plan to purchase two aircrafts.
PAC called secretary of tourism ministry Nagendra Ghimire, NAC chairman Sugat Ratna Kansakar and general manager KB Limbu for interrogation today after they failed to furnish required documents in an interrogation earlier this week.
The PAC is interrogating NAC officials as the latter initiated a process to purchase two aircrafts despite the committee's instruction not to do so about two months ago.
NAC had signed a purchase deal with Airbus for a wide-body aircraft and a narrow-body aircraft in an Air Show in Dubai a few weeks ago.
