The house is going to be reconstructed at the personal expenditure of a Lalitpur denizen RK Shakya. Shakya decided to reconstruct the house at his own cost after news about the condition of Acharya’s house got published in the daily a few months ago.
A single-storey house resembling the old style with a slate roof will be constructed within this year, said Naveen Raj Dahal, executive director of Bhanu Birthplace Development Committee. The cost of the construction is estimated to be about Rs 0.5 million.
Earlier, Acharya’s house was reconstructed a decade ago while shooting for the feature film ‘Bhanu Bhakta.’ The house had been destroyed by a wild fire in five years ago.
